Steam Pipe Leak in Boylan Triggers Fire Alarms, FDNY Response

The New York City Fire Department responded at least twice to a hyper-sensitive fire alarm at Brooklyn College due to a steam pipe burst in the basement of Boylan Hall.

According to Brooklyn College spokesperson Ernesto Mora, the college is addressing the leak.

“The safety of our entire campus community is our top priority, and when a smoke detector goes off, we take the matter very seriously,” said Mora in an email to The Kingsman. “It is critical that everyone on campus knows what to do in the case of an emergency so that the proper authorities can address and remedy the issue.”
