October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Though Domestic Violence Awareness Month comes to a close with the end of October, domestic violence continues to be an issue. We at the Kingsman would like to remind our readers that in the current political climate, we stand with the victims of abuse, whether it is mental, physical, or sexual. Many have seen the #MeToo campaign on social media which was started by activist Tarana Burke about 10 years ago, and while seeing other people shed light on an issue that has plagued this country is empowering, it is important that we remember not all of us can have that same voice. Staying quiet does not invalidate your feelings or experiences. Know that you are not alone.
